Welcome to the Kruger National Park
 
   
The world famous Kruger National Park offers its visitors a game population that is considered as one of the most diverse and interesting in Africa. The park has been developed in the year 1898 to protect the wild life in the South African lowveld. Today the national park with a size of around 2 Million hectares is world wide unique with the diversity of living forms. The management of the park is considered as on of the leading institutions of nature and wild life conservation in the world.

The largest game reserve in South Africa is home for a variety of species: 336 trees, 49 fish, 34 amphibians-, 114 reptilians, 507 birds und 147 mammals can be met here.

Important archaeological foundations such as Mosirini and Thulamela show that this fascinating area has been the living area several centuries ago and was shared by humans. Those once are also protected as natural wealth of the park.
